Today, the 6th edition of TDM, Triennale Design museums, starts with the title “the syndrome of influence”.
The period is perfect to talk about it: with these changes of weather everyone has taken the cold!
But it’s not about this kind of influence that we are talking about in Triennale. Instead, it’s a typical attitude of the italian design: to be influenced by intellectuals all over the world.
Absorbing, comparing, talking together with other cultures: creating new projects and innovate.
These are the themes of the new praparation of the museum of the design in Milan, edited by Silvana Annicchiarico and Pierluigi Nicolin, visitable from tomorrow until February, 2014.
There, the principal topic will be the history of the italian design, that is divided in three periods:
- The invention of the italian design. In this step we can know better the great masters of the design history. Thanks to them the “made in italy” became what is now.
- The creative destruction: during the post-war period, the political and social changing altered also the design world.
- Now the brands are the protagonists: brands dominate the market and look like points of convergence for all those “influences” that built and determined them.
Enjoy your visit!
